Yes, all Chanel bags are handmade.
Authentic Chanel handbags, clutches, shoulder bags and other accessories are made in factories and ateliers located in France and regions of Italy such as Tuscany. Additionally, a town in a remote area of southern Spain called Ubrique is reportedly where luxury brands such as Chanel and Louis Vuitton source their leather products.
The brand stamp on an authentic Chanel bag will feature a logo that is accompanied by either "Made in Italy" or "Made in France." It will never read "Made in Paris," which is used on the backplate.
