How do I identify spelter?
1 Answer

To identify spelter, use a needle to scratch the piece in an inconspicuous area. If the item is spelter, you will see a silver-colored scratch. Bronze resembles spelter but it is not soft enough to scratch. Find a variety of expertly vetted spelter furniture and decorative objects on 1stDibs.
