How far should a chair be from a table?

1 Answer
How far should a chair be from a table?
How far a table should be from a chair is 10 to 12 inches. Keep in mind that the distance is from the tabletop to the seat of the chair. To determine what chairs to buy, subtract 10 or 12 inches from the height of your table and look for pieces of that seat height. If you're looking for a table to go with certain chairs, measure the height from the floor to the seat and then add 10 or 12 inches to find out what table height to buy.
