What is it called when furniture is made to look old?

When modern furniture is made to look old, it is often called distressing or weathering. The process can involve sanding, painting and creating blemishes and marks in the materials to impart an aged appearance. In some cases, distressed furniture gets its look from the use of reclaimed materials, such as wood, metal, stone and other items that were previously used as construction materials in structures and old furniture. Distressed furniture differs from reproduction furniture, which refers to contemporary furnishings patterned after antique and vintage designs.
