What is the difference between sculpting and painting?
1 Answer

The difference between sculpting and painting is the type of work produced. Sculpting is the process of working materials into a three-dimensional work of art. Sculptors produce pieces out of wood, marble, stone, clay, found objects and many other materials. Painting is the term for applying pigments, such as oil paints or acrylics, to a surface, such as canvas fabric, to create a two-dimensional work of art.
