The famous painting from Good Times is The Sugar Shack. Artist Ernie Barnes produced it in 1976, and it appeared on the cover of Marvin Gaye's album I Want You that same year. Barnes was an American painter whose artwork reflected African American experiences. As a skilled athlete in numerous sports during his early years, Barnes went on to play professional football, and, after a five-year career, he decided to retire from the sport and paint full-time. Barnes continues today to be one of the most widely collected Black painters of his time. On 1stDibs, find a range of art for sale.
