What pottery is worth collecting?
1 Answer

Many types of pottery are worth collecting. Some people decide to collect pieces from a single region, such as Delft pottery from the Netherlands or Satsuma pottery from Japan. Others collect pieces from specific makers, like Meissen, Bitossi or Capodimonte. Other approaches to collecting include focusing on certain items, such as vases or figurines, or particular styles, such as Art Nouveau or mid-century modern. However, whether or not it’s worth investing in pottery is totally subjective! At 1stDibs, we believe in buying what you love. Our shopping experience enables discovery and learning, whether you are a seasoned connoisseur or just beginning your collection. On 1stDibs, explore a diverse assortment of pottery.
