The old name for Patek Philippe was Patek, Czapek
Cie. It was founded in Geneva in 1839 by Polish expats Antoni Patek and Franciszek Czapek. After Czapek exited the firm and Patek partnered with French watchmaker Jean Adrien Philippe, the company was renamed Patek, Philippe
