Why is the Tuileries famous?
1 Answer

The Tuileries is famous for a few reasons, but art is one of the biggest. The Paris garden is home to numerous statues, with sculptures and decorative vases having been installed among the trees and plantings since the 18th century. An art museum called the Musée de l’Orangerie is also located in the Tuileries. There, visitors can see works by many famed 19th- and 20th-century painters, such as Claude Monet, Paul Cézanne, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. On 1stDibs, find a diverse assortment of art.
