Titled "Star Ear," the drawing measures 14 inches by 16.5 inches and is executed in ink on paper. Created during the 1950s, it is signed by the artist in pencil in the lower right corner. Donald Stacy was a New Jersey-based artist who studied at the Newark School of Fine Art, the Art Students League, the Pratt Graphic Arts Center, and several universities in Europe. He went on to become a faculty member at institutions including the Art Department of the New School, the Museum of Modern Art, and the School of Visual Arts.
