About the Item

Along with Charles Addams, Gahan Wilson is one of the most important cartoonists who deal with the Macabre. Along with his famous counterpart, he should be regarded as a conceptual artist, not just a cartoonist. Additionally, he is a master at creating a complex story in one picture, utilizing his signature graphic style of painting. Signed lower right, unframed. We are unsure where this was published, but we do have visual confirmation that it was published. Perhaps it was not yet scanned into the fledgling internet in 1996. Unframed, overall excellent condition. There is some undulation to the paper but that is a result of the artist's hand with water-based paint on paper
