Carrie Nye, at the Broadhurst Theatre. The sprightly Edwardian-era romp, based on a 1905 novel, `Kipps: The Story of a Simple Soul` by H.G. Wells, was written especially for the British pop idol Steele. Directed by Gene Saks, designed by Loudon Sainthill
Jules Fisher, the show ran 4/25/65 - 7/16/66 for 511 performances. The play wasw adapted into a 1967 film that also starred Steele. n 10" x 15" illustration board, for the New York Herald-Tribune. 9" x 10" image
