Caricature by George Wachsteter (1911-2004) for CBS-TV comedy `The Ann Sothern Show` (1958-1961) starring Sothern as Katy O`Connor, assistant manager of the swank NYC hotel, The Bartley House
Ernest Truex as her boss, Jason Macauley. In the 1959-60 season, Truex was replaced by the character of James Devery, played by Don Porter, Sothern`s co-star from her last series `Private Secretary`. On 22" x 15" illustration board with colored pencil and cut paper on onionskin laid to acetate overlay, having edge notations. Used on the cover of the Feb 1, 1959 New York Journal-American Pictorial Magazine and TView Section, includes original copies. 14" x 9 1/4" image. Edge soiling, wrinkling to overlay.
