Caricature by George Wachsteter (1911-2004) of Betsy Palmer and Richard Greene in `The Wayward Widow`, a 19th c tale set in a small English seacoast village where a beautiful widow gets involved with a virtuous preacher and a ring of smugglers. A presentation on CBS-TV`s `The U.S. Steel Hour` on Wed, May 6, 1959. Episode is noted for the final act`s impressive wind and rainstorm, done live in studio. The illustration was used for the cover of a New York Journal-American TView magazine.
