Caricature by George Wachsteter (1911-2004) for `The Dick Powell Show`, used as cover for The New York Journal American TView Section on April 8, 1962. The anthology series ran on NBC September 26, 1961 – April 30, 1963, and Powell occasionally starred in
directed some of the episodes. When Powell died Jan 2, 1963, the series was retitled `The Dick Powell Theatre` for its last four months on the air. On 22" x 13" illustration board with watercolor on onionskin overlay, sketches and copies of the original magazine. 14" x 9 1/2" image. Some soiling.
