A very magnificent work by 20th Century British artist Hans Feibusch of a boy looking out over a landscape, classically inspired with a modern flair.
Escaping the grip of Nazi Germany in 1933, Hans Feibusch sought refuge in Britain. In 1934, he debuted with the Ben Uri Gallery in May-June, concurrently exhibiting at the Parsons Gallery, London, as part of the Exhibition of German-Jewish Artists' Work organized by Carl Braunschweig (Charles Brunswick). This exhibition aimed to shed light on artists facing persecution under the Nazi regime.
Renowned for his mastery in murals, Feibusch's artistic legacy adorns numerous churches and cathedrals across Britain, notably at Chichester Cathedral. Pallant House Gallery boasts an extensive collection of his works on paper.
