Using mediums such as oil, acrylic paint, china marker, etc; Jay typically applies a warm and vibrant color palette with an attention to detail such as the eyes of the subjects in order to grab the viewer’s attention. Story-telling plays an important role in Jay’s work, as background settings can frequently be seen depicted in his oil and acrylic paintings, however, Jay stands by his opinion that the viewer should interpret each piece the way they see fit.
