Description: This richly coloured French modernist watercolour by Pierre Neveu depicts a woman in a flowing pink dress, seated in an interior filled with pattern, colour, and still-life detail. The composition is both intimate and decorative: the woman reclines casually, one arm resting on a patterned textile, while a bowl of citrus fruit and an open book sit nearby. Behind her, a vivid arrangement of flowers introduces an array of reds, yellows, and greens that contrast beautifully with the blue patterned wallpaper.
