A watercolor and cartoon artist, Albert Blaisdell began his career in art after being wounded in combat in the Palau Islands in 1944. Blaisdell exhibited with success, including at the 2006 National Veterans Creative Arts Festival where he won a gold medal and was featured in the 2007 Journal of Rehabilitation Research and Development.
