A realistic contemporary pastel composition by John Paley, depicting a fisherman outer on the water collecting his catch from baited nets. The man looks curious in his expression as to why nothing has been caught. The gentle breeze of the day is evident by the continuing ripples across the large expanse of water. The drawing has been signed to the lower left-hand corner. Immaculately presented in a moulded deep set cream mount, and gilt reeded frame. Glazed. On paper.
