Mauricio Trenard is an artist, educator and arts activist.
He says this series is of great interest to him, as it offers the potential
to provoke a complex visual and tactile artistic experience for the public.
"In our everyday lives, we are exposed to many stimuli, which our senses filter from
the outside world. The more senses we use to explore the world, the
more intense our experience. My intention is to create the experience
of a new expanse of space, where I expose pedestrians to a type of art
that stimulates them to use more than one sense (visual) in their
exploration. I am concerned that pedestrians feel pleasure in and
curiosity to explore the art through touch, in this way facilitating
their enjoyment of the piece."
