A charming 19th century view of Caudebec, Normandy. The artist has wonderfully captured the complex medieval architecture and bustling nature of this large French town. The artist has signed the scene to the lower right and inscribed the location to the lower left. The painting has been handsomely presented in an early 20th Century gilt frame with delicate swept rail and corner ornamentation. The frame is finished with a wide internal gilt slip, inscribed with the artist's name and location of the painting. On paper.
