Description: A serene architectonic study of the Abbaye de Royaumont near Paris by Pierre Neveu. This watercolour depicts the abbey reflected in its formal pool, framed by manicured gardens and soft northern light. Neveu’s precise brushwork and control of line reveal his training at the École Boulle, while his transparent layering of gouache lends atmosphere and quiet grandeur.

Pierre Neveu was born in Paris. He was a professor of Drawing.
