Description: This atmospheric village street scene by Pierre Neveu is inscribed “Cucuron” and depicts the celebrated Provençal village located in the Luberon region of southern France. Rendered in watercolor and gouache on artists paper, the composition captures the intimate architectural rhythm of Cucuron’s narrow streets, stone façades, and sun-warmed plaster walls. Neveu frames the scene tightly, guiding the viewer through a gently curving passageway flanked by pale terracotta roofs, textured masonry, and climbing greenery, all set beneath a deep cobalt-blue sky.
