Description: A serene and luminous French landscape watercolour by Pierre Neveu, titled Tour sur plaine (Tower over plain). This elegant composition captures a quiet rural view dominated by a church spire rising above red-roofed village houses, framed by a flowering tree in the foreground. Neveu’s masterful handling of watercolour conveys both freshness and depth—the soft greens of the fields blend seamlessly with the delicate purples and blues of spring blossoms. Pierre Neveu was born in Paris. He was a professor of Drawing.
