Description: A peaceful and luminous riverside village study by Pierre Neveu (b.1929), titled Hameau de Loy. The work captures a row of traditional French houses reflected in still green waters, framed by slender poplar trees swaying gently in the breeze. Neveu’s loose yet deliberate brushwork and finely drawn architectural lines balance spontaneity with structure — a hallmark of his modern French watercolours.
