Description: This delicate watercolour study by Pierre Neveu captures the sweeping hillside view of a French village identified as Kayac — likely referencing Cayac, a commune in the Gironde region near Bordeaux, or possibly a stylised spelling of Caylus or Cahors, both known for their similar architecture and elevated rural outlooks in the Dordogne and Lot areas.
The composition leads the eye along a gently curving road bordered by golden stone houses and terracotta shutters, opening out towards a distant castle or church tower that anchors the skyline.
