Description: A vivid and expressive watercolour by Pierre Neveu depicting two seated figures in an intimate interior setting, rendered with a confident and spontaneous use of colour. The composition is defined by bold contrasts—a woman dressed in a rich red garment and white headscarf sits in conversation with a companion, the surrounding walls glowing in tones of violet, ochre, and deep blue. Neveu’s painterly technique is loose yet deliberate, blending Post-Impressionist structure with modernist freedom.
