Description: This expressive watercolor depicts a sunlit courtyard scene centred around a large arched gateway set into a pale stone wall. Beyond the arch, a cluster of adjoining buildings rises gently, their simple façades and terracotta-tiled roofs rendered with loose ink lines and warm washes. The architecture is suggestive rather than specific, evoking the atmosphere of a Mediterranean or southern European setting without identifying a particular location.
