Condition: good overall condition with strong colour and light handling marks consistent with age. Perforated edge to the left indicates removal from a sketchbook.
Provenance: From the artist’s studio sale in France; all works by this artist in our collection originate from the artist’s estate.
Description: Pierre Neveu’s Menton portrays the sunlit streets of the French Riviera framed by palm trees and the maritime hills of the Italian border. Vibrant blue, coral, and amber tones capture the luminosity of the Mediterranean coast. His swift brushwork and architectural clarity combine to evoke the heat and motion of a summer day by the sea.
