Description: A refined monochrome study by Pierre Neveu (b.1929), this original ink wash and watercolour depicts a quiet riverside scene with moored boats, architectural silhouettes, and the soft dome of a distant building. Using a limited palette of black and grey tones, Neveu conveys both atmosphere and structure with remarkable economy of means. Fluid washes define the water’s reflective surface, while fine linear accents describe trees, masts, and architectural details with architectural precision.

Pierre Neveu was born in Paris. He was a professor of Drawing.
