Description: This luminous plein-air watercolour by Pierre Neveu captures a sunlit stone archway in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, rendered with expressive immediacy and architectural sensitivity. The artist’s characteristic fusion of pencil draughtsmanship and translucent washes evokes the tactile texture of the old village walls, their warm ochres contrasting beautifully with the deep cobalt of shaded passages.
Neveu’s confident brushwork suggests the rhythm of Mediterranean life — light spilling through an archway, potted plants marking the threshold between built and natural space.
