Description: This expressive watercolor by Pierre Neveu captures the quiet charm of a Provençal village, dominated by a traditional stone church tower with its distinctive terracotta-tiled roof. Neveu’s loose, gestural brushwork and sensitive layering of colour convey both architectural weight and the soft luminosity of Mediterranean light.
The tower rises confidently through the centre of the composition, its cool grey stone rendered in fluid washes of blue-violet and charcoal. Around it, Neveu arranges a cluster of village houses with ochre and cream façades, their shadows falling sharply in the midday sun.
