Description: This atmospheric watercolor by Pierre Neveu captures a quiet Provençal street bathed in sunlight, featuring an ochre-coloured house, a cool shaded alleyway, and a lush tree casting deep blue-green tones across the foreground. The inscription HOF (Reuil) suggests a specific location or note made by the artist during his travels or teaching demonstrations, consistent with his habit of marking studies on-site.
The warm ochre façade, framed by crisp white architectural lines around the window, forms the focal point of the composition, standing in striking contrast to the cool stone passageway that curves gently out of view.
