A beautiful drawing of the Aravis mountain chain in the Alps, including Mont Blanc, with all of the peaks identified by hand.
Circa 1850
Graphite with white heightening on light card stock, 12 3/4 x 6 7/16 inches (322 x 162 mm), the full sheet. Overall toning and some residue from a former mount at the left corners and right sheet edge on the verso.
