St John's College, Cambridge watercolour, probably early twentieth century 7x10" Molony was member of the Royal Engineers and a talented watercolourist. 25 July 1882: Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. 1885: Served in the 10th Company, Royal Engineers during the Suakin Expedition. 22 October 1890: Promoted to the rank of Captain. 27 October 1899: Promoted to the rank of Major.
