About the Item
A beautiful antique original watercolor of the Dutch landscape. I apologize for the reflections on the glass - this piece comes already framed and behind glass, in an antique wood frame. The piece is signed and dated 1911. Wonderful earth tones and confident brushstrokes characterize this lovely paintings. Details include a mother and daughter in front of their rural cottage, and in the distance, cows grazing in a field with a distant windmill in the background. I lived in the Netherlands for a year, and these scenes still actually exist!
