About the Item
This fine and elegant woman portrait in red pastel on paper was drawn by Pietro Annigoni, an Italian artist of the 20th Century called the 'Queen's painter because he realized the Queen Elisabeth painted portrait and one of her sister also.
The portraits of Queen Elisabeth II ( by Annigoni) and Duke of Edinburgh, are present in the Library of Imperial History (London) and in the National Portrait Gallery (London).
Recently (August 2018) some Royal portraits by Pietro Annigoni was present at the exhibition in the Royal Academy.
