A remarkably vibrant mid 19th Century portrait of three young children, seated on the grass under a bright blue sky. The two older children sit behind the younger who wears a white dress and bonnet and holds a blue flower aloft with a wide eyed smile. The artist has signed indistinctly and dated to the lower left corner. The painting is presented in its original frame with the original crown glass glazing, however the frame has a modern distressed gilt finish and a new card mount. On wove.
