Bengal Tiger watercolor inspired by the novel The Life of Pi's, whose main character, Richard Parker — the tiger who is the epitome of beauty, power, and danger in the story, lives in its own respective territory on a lifeboat with Pi. Adrienne Sherman captures the essence of the animal in a way that is also classically Sherman. .A stunning contemporary watercolor in warm cream, orange, brown with blue.
Painted in 2019 by Adrienne Sherman, whose poetic and sophisticated watercolors are at once modern and fresh, while giving a gentle nod to past scientific illustrators and historians. Beautiful washes create Sherman's paintings that are created with the finest pigments available. Heavy papers are from centuries-old Arches mill of handmade paper in France. The paper dimension is 13 1/4 x 40 inches and the image dimension is 10 1/4 x 36 3/4 inches. The work comes unframed. Inquire within for custom framing price. Artist signed, titled and dated.
