A luminous 1850 still life study of a tin lantern.
Black chalk with white heightening on brownish-gray, fibrous, handmade buff wove paper, 10 1/2 x 6 3/4 inches (262 x 172 mm), the full sheet. In good condition with lots of light and shadow. With some paper remnants from a former mount on the verso, does not effect the recto.
