tempio di Antonino e Faustina
Located in Milano, MI
Urbex is the English acronym for urban exploration and is an activity that consists of searching for and locating abandoned infrastructure with the goal of visiting, photographing and conveying its contents, with particular involvement of methodologies from geography, anthropology, sociology to cultural studies. Her works have been in the past approached to the works of Anselm Kiefer (b. 1945) and Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720-1770), but in Gullotta's paintings the absence of color makes the spaces particularly ethereal, allowing them to be ideally lifted to new places and to new life. We often speak of a "brain drain," but in this case we are truly happy to be able to say that this is a "return," and an important one: an artist of international caliber who has decided to entrust her return to her homeland to Almach Art...

Face with goggle-eyed, Abstract Sculpture, Suitable for Outdoors
Located in Boston, MA
Artist Commentary: Half face with one goggling eye. The turnable eye has pupil on both side, light can go through. When the eye turned sideway, it becomes cat eye. Our eye movements are the most talkative part of our face. Keywords: Abstract, geometric, white, black, kinetic, stone Artist Biography: Born in Hungary, Andrasfalvy is 50, with swift dark eyes, a chiseled jaw, and a casually athletic frame that stretch, well over six feet. He exudes a quiet restlessness. He holds an M.D., a Ph.D., and two curricula vitae—one that lists eleven peer-reviewed publications on neuronal physiology, and another that describes dozens of sculptures, several of them commissioned and many gifts. The pivot between art and science started early. When Andrasfalvy was 10 years old, his father gave him a woodcarving set. By age 20, he had completed his first stone sculpture—and was on the path to medical school. Ever since, he’s spent weekends sculpting leftover granite or marble salvaged...

Polish Modernist Charging Rhino Bronze Expressionist Rhinoceros Sculpture
Located in Surfside, FL
Signed bronze from small edition of 8. plus 4 artists proofs Dominik Albiński (born 1975, South Africa) Dominic Albinski, was born in South Africa, in 1975. He started sculpting, at a young age, at the Art Classes of Mercia Desmond, in Johannesburg. From the start, his talent for capturing movement, and character in his human, and animal figures was remarkable. Dominic had a happy childhood, spending his time in the studio, where he studied art and anatomy, which was later to become one of the major themes of his sculptures. He also spent a lot of time on the South African coast; Durban, North Coast and Cape, Plettenburg Bay and in the bush Kruger Park, Okovango Swamps, Chobe and Pilansberg game reserves. He was a good student, but preferred sculpting in his studio, among his artworks, than studying. After finishing High School (St John’s College), he left for Paris, to start a life of independence, in the French capital, famous for artists like Rodin, Bugatti, Carpeaux, Daumier, Giacometti, and Picasso, who inspired him. He was excepted into the prestigious Institute of Political Science. However, his passion for sculpture, made him choose sculpture as a career. He started studying sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and with the British Sculptor, James Butler in England. Here, he learnt observation and techniques that would stand him in good stead later, when he came back to France, as a Professor of Communication at the renowned Ecole Francaise D’Attache de Presse near the Champs Elysees. He had his first major exhibition at the Arnaud Gallery in Verneuil sur Avre in Normandy. A collector, found interest in his work, and created a vast collection of his bronzes, as well as promoting Dominic in various galleries in the region of Normandy, and Touraine, such as Galerie 21 and Club de Arche de Noe, in Tours and Galerie des Remparts, and Eclat de Verre, in Le Mans. He also exhibited in La Rochelle in the Galerie Hourdin, and Bordeaux at the Galerie des Remparts. During this period he studied Literature at the Sorbonne. In Paris, several galleries took Dominic’s work, including Galerie Arcima, on Rue St Jaques, Galerie Herouet, in the Marais, Galerie Etienne de Causans on rue de Seine, or Galerie Mouvances, on Place des Vosges. Dominic participated in a wildlife exhibition in Trocadero Center, and at the Hotel de Ville of Puteux. His sculpture Madness, was chosen to be exhibited as a finalist at the Brain-Up competition, in the Palais de Congres. This impressive sculpture, measuring 1m 60 is in the collection of the Hospital in Lille, and the Mandela Collection in Sandton South Africa, among other collections. In Poland, he had an exhibition in the Canadian Embassy Residence, in the South African Embassy, and in the French Embassy. His work “Man with Pipe” is in the collection of the Canadian Ambassador. His work “Portrait of Agnes” was acquired by the South African Ambassador who, opened Dominic’s exhibition in the Jagellonian University in Krakow, Holiday Inn, and in Galeria Mokotow, in Warsaw. He had an exhibiton in the Warsaw Financial Center on Emili Platter Street, and in the Sculpture Gallery on Jana Pawla street. Later, he exhibited in the Gallery of the Polish War Museum on Krakowskie Przedmiescie, on Nowy Swiat 44, in the Center of Promotion of Culture, Mazowieckie Center of Culture and in the Jan Nowak Jezorianski Center. His work was showcased in the Napiorkowska Gallery, Zapiecek Gallery on the square of the Old Town in Warsaw, Hunters Gallery, and Warsaw Art Gallery in the Marriot Hotel, and sold on various Auctions, such as Rempex, Agra Art, and Polswiss. Back in South Africa, Dominic had much success among his native art galleries, having his first major exhibition at the Mandela Square Gallery, in Sandton. Art Galleries, hearing of his exhibitions in France, took his work, such as the Cherie de Villiers Gallery, in the Mall, in Rosebank, and the Van den Berg Gallery, in Potchefstroom. Dominic also took his work to the USA, where he exhibited at the Modern Show in New York, and at the Dauphin Descours Gallery on Madison Avenue, and the Yew Tree House Antiques Gallery in New York, as well as the Geary Gallery, in Darion, and the Lions Gallery...

Marble Idaho Green Quartzite 4
Located in New York, NY
Born in Pasadena and raised in Orange County, Elizabeth Turk earned her M.F.A. at the Rinehart School of Sculpture, Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. In Turk’s work, the shape of the line is created by extreme loss. That is, the reductive process of carving creates a positive, fragile form in which the absence of the original material is a focus. Turk encourages us to consider how nature has shaped these organic materials long before the artist’s manipulation of them into new forms. When viewed as components in a complex natural system, their singular beauty and inherent mystery is revealed. Turk compels us to view works of art not only as objects to be coveted and collected, but also as expressions of the natural world and our evolving relation to it. A recipient of numerous awards, including a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship (2010), a Barnett and Annalee Newman Foundation Fellowship (2010), and a Smithsonian Artist Research Fellowship (2011), Turk is internationally recognized for transforming her signature medium of marble into strikingly intricate objects that defy convention and challenge our preconceptions of what marble can do. Through the use of electric grinders, dental tools...

(4 pieces) Rolling dice/Turning luck, Marble Sculpture, Suitable for Outdoors
Located in Boston, MA
Artist Commentary: Rolling dice, turning luck! All 6 sides of the dice has the same probability. When the dice is cubic, the results are digital, but when the dice getting closer to the ball shape the results could be analog and infinite when it is a perfect ball. Old cobblestones were used to make the heavy dices. In 3 steps the cube became a ball, a real rolling dice. Keywords: Abstract, dice, 4 pieces, black, white Artist Biography: Born in Hungary, Andrasfalvy is 50, with swift dark eyes, a chiseled jaw, and a casually athletic frame that stretch, well over six feet. L.O.V.E. Sculpture by Maurizio Cattelan, middle finger in Concrete material
Located in Zug, CH
A 1:28 scale reproduction of the original statue in Piazza Affari in Milan, L.O.V.E. stands for Libertà, Odio, Vendetta, Eternità and is an anti-fascist statement. Maurizio Cattelan L.O.V. E. White 2014 Concrete sculpture 40 × 18 × 18 cm (15.7 × 7.1 × 7.1 in) Stamped by artist's estate Edition of 200 In mint condition With original packaging and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity The statue, which bears the title of L.O.V.E., stands for Libertà, Odio, Vendetta, Eternità (Freedom, Hate, Vengeance, Eternity),was created in 2010 to stay in Piazza Affari (business district) in Milan. The artist himself states that the statue is an anti-fascist statement, transforming Italy’s Fascist hand salute from the 1930s by cutting off the fingers and mutilating the hand. The fingers, except the medium one, are not flexed but cut off. Nevertheless the impression is an unambiguous “fuck you” to the world of bankers and CEOs.This edition, 1:28 scale reproductions of the original statue, was released by Seletti in May 2014 and is made of concrete painted white. “My ideas are all the same but look different.„ —Maurizio Cattelan ABOUT THE ARTIST Born in Padua, Italy, in 1960, Cattelan has no formal training and considers himself an “art worker” rather than an artist.
