I am often inspired by a beautiful tablescape. Since I'm a foodie, I love to paint tables set with a colorful meal and dishes amid abstract accents. I also love that breaking bread with friends can bring people closer together. Disco Breakfast is full of life and energy.
About the Artist
Expressionist painter Autumn Rose finds inspiration in the colors of her daily life. She employs a variety of media and tools to generate texture and depth in her work. Guided by intuition rather than plan, Autumn creates abstract explorations of everyday scenes with a notable focus on still life. Pastel pinks and greens are common across her body of work, leaving the viewer with the notion that in the world of Autumn Rose, it is in fact perpetually spring.

About the Artist
Artist Diana Chelaru paints colorful expressionist interpretations of human emotion. “Art is a means of communication, it is how I express my thoughts, hopes, regrets, and joys,†says Diana. She experiments with working on large-scale paintings using the visual language of form, lines, and color to create compositions that exist only in her imagination. Growing up in Romania, she draws inspiration from Byzantine mosaics as well as Gustav Klimt’s subject matter and use of decorative patterns. She received her BFA in Painting from George Enescu Art University and finished her MA in Art History from Queens College. Diana simply goes with the flow rather than dwelling on the formulaic process. It all depends on how and what she feels at the moment. She indulges in music while she creates her work.

Part of Ryan's long-running series of portraits done in charcoal and oil paint on gold washed paper. Ryan enjoys pairing the fluidity and transparency of oil paint with the substance of charcoal. "Much like the ballet of the same name, "Giselle" combines dramatic patterns with stoic expression," says Ryan. The figure wears an abstract dress of dripping circles, her hair in modernist angles. She looks intensely at the viewer, her slender frame elongated by her strong pose.
