Margulis is a Venezuelan born contemporary artist renowned for his innovative work in geometric 3D sculpture, mixed media, and photography.
This Portholes Series is characterized by their dynamic interplay of light, color and form. He constructs these three dimensional sculptures using layered acrylic sheets often incorporating translucent materials and vibrant hues.

Jose Margulis
J.Margulis was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1970, Margulis works predominantly in the medium of Geometric 3D Sculpture, Mixed media, and Photography. Margulis completed advanced courses in photography and master B&W lab work under Ricardo Ferreira at Instituto Neumann in Caracas, Venezuela from 1986 to 1990. Margulis also holds a BA in Management from Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas completed in 1994. He runs a full time art fabrication shop that allows his prolific artistic nature to approach is work with a resolute determination to physically explore the field of geometric three dimensional art. He has participated in several exhibitions and relevant International Art fairs and his art belongs in private collections in Costa Rica, Mexico, Venezuela, Peru, Italy, Spain, Australia and the United States. J.Margulis resides and works in Miami, Florida with his wife and three children. About the Artist:
Steve Joester is a British-born Rock & Roll photographer and mixed media artist, currently living and working in New York City.
Joester, a leading Rock & Roll photographer in the 70's and 80's, had his iconic images of the greatest rock performers appear on album sleeves, posters, exhibitions and magazines worldwide. Joester made his mark shooting icons such as Mick Jagger, Bob Marley, Neil Young, Sting, and also documented Andy Warhol on film with Rob Halford of Judas Priest backstage at the Palladium in April, 1979.
In an explosive interpretation of the rock icons that left their indelible mark on our generation, Joester's unique mixed media works transcend his photography. Using an unconventional mixture of materials on his canvases, he echoes the raw energy of Rock & Roll with his own Interpretation of the emotion and power of the live performances. Joester was the first mixed media artist to be represented by the Morrison Hotel Gallery, and his work is included in collections internationally.
