Linda's friends and family share stories of her constant - painting, drawing, and doodling. However, it wasn't until age 50 that Linda wholeheartedly embraced her visual generative art practice as her life's mission. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Literature, Science Arts College at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, and obtained her JD in 1979. Collaborating with her eldest son Theodore (Teddy) Schinkel in 2010, her artistic journey evolved. Linda, an outsider artist, had artistic education from multiple institutions, including the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, Sorbonne University of Paris, Paris France, National Geographic in Siena Italy and a National Geographic Around the World Photography Intensive. She had a residency at the Ox-Bow School of Art, Saugatuck MI and an Artist Residency at Cranbrook, Bloomfield Hills MI, a renowned center for art, education, and science. Linda's works exude a captivating blend of synergy and sublime metaphysical connections. Enjoying gallery representation since 2004, Linda's artistry has been featured in "Style" and "Ambassador" magazines before publishing as an artist duo in "The Wall Street Journal," "USA Today," and "World Wide Art Books." Linda attributes the uniqueness of her works and trajectory to following in her parents' footsteps, leveraging right and left brain hemispheres. Linda was honored with the 49th Distinguished Women’s Award from Northwood University, Midland MI.
