About the Item

Garden: Tal para cual brings together a series of works that mark the beginning of a material and conceptual investigation into the construction of relationships. The project takes the figure of the flower as a formal point of departure, understood as a structure that allows for thinking about bonds, interdependence, and shared forms of growth. The works are built through unions, supports, and intersections between forms. These configurations function as metaphors for relationships between people, where each element exists in relation to another. The flower thus appears as a body that cannot be understood in isolation, but rather as part of a system in which support, balance, and growth depend on coexistence. The project unfolds in two moments. Garden corresponds to an initial engagement with ceramics, where the focus lies on material exploration and the increasing complexity of the constructions. From these early pieces, Tal para cual emerges as a series that incorporates textiles as a second material, expanding the formal and structural possibilities of the work. In these pieces, ceramic elements interact with textile surfaces that function as containers, frames, or spaces of support. Taken as a whole, Garden: Tal para cual reflects on how bodies and forms relate to one another, how they support each other, and how they transform through contact with others. The project functions as a point of departure within a practice that will later continue to explore the relationship between materiality, the body, and the environment.
