Haroshi
Haroshi is best known for making sculptures from recycled wooden skateboard decks. The self-taught artist blends craftsmanship and pop culture as he stacks and glues together carefully selected decks, then hand-cuts, carves, paints, and polishes them to a smooth finish. Because of the layering involved, the finished sculptures—which take the shape of animals, body parts, skulls, teddy bears, and cartoonish figures—have striped exteriors. Intricate and precise, they can evoke inami, a Japanese wood-carving tradition, and the sleek forms of Jeff Koons. Haroshi has also transformed skateboards into large-scale collages and installations and produced sculptures in bronze, vinyl, and iron. Haroshi’s work has been exhibited in cities including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Tokyo, Osaka, and London, and he has collaborated with a number of brands, including Nike, BE@RBRICK, and Sacai.

Os Gêmeos Skateboard Street Contemporary Graffiti Edition of 300 Silkscreened
By Os Gêmeos
Located in Draper, UT
Edition of 300. Museum of Graffiti exclusive.
OSGEMEOS (b. 1974, São Paulo, Brazil), translated as “THE TWINS”, Gustavo and Otavio Pandolfo, have worked together since birth. As children growing up in the streets of the traditional district of Cambuci (SP), they developed a distinct way of playing and communicating through artistic language. With the encouragement of their family, and the introduction of Hip Hop culture in Brazil in the 1980s, OSGEMEOS found a direct connection to their dynamic and magical world and a way to communicate with the public. Guided mainly by their willpower, together they explored with dedication and care the various techniques of painting, drawing and sculpture, and had the streets as their place of study.

Intermezzo TFWHT, 2020, Murakami and Futura, Street Art, Limited Edition
By Futura

Intermezzo TFWHT, 2020, Murakami and Futura, Street Art, Limited Edition of 100.
Hand-signed by artist, Signed by Futura in ink lower right Signed, dated, and numbered by Takashi Murakami in ink lower right.
One of the most acclaimed artists to emerge from post-war Asia, Takashi Murakami is known for his signature “Superflat” aesthetic: a colorful, two-dimensional style that straddles the division between fine art and pop culture as it unites elements of anime, Japanese nihonga, and ukiyo-e woodcuts. Common motifs across Murakami’s oeuvre—which spans paintings, sculptures, prints, and more—include smiling flowers, bears, and the Mickey Mouse–inspired character Mr. DOB. They also appear throughout Murakami’s thriving market for merchandise and collectibles. Murakami has presented at institutions including the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, MoMA PS1, Mori Art Museum, Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, Brooklyn Museum, Museum für Moderne Kunst, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, among others, and his work has sold for millions on the secondary market. Murakami also runs a large influential art production and artist management company, the Tokyo-based Kaikai Kiki Co.
Futura (formerly Futura 2000), née Lenny McGurr, pioneered abstract street art in New York during the 1970s. While his contemporaries practiced traditional lettering, Futura combined text, imagery, thin aerosol lines, swaths of vibrant color, and a distinctive use of white space as he created dynamic, futuristic compositions; science fiction and computing technology have long informed his aesthetic. In the 1980s—alongside fellow artists Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Kenny Scharf—Futura...

"Hirst first experimented with spin art in 1992 at his studio in Brixton (‘Beautiful Ray of Sunshine on a Rainy Day Painting and Beautiful Where Did All The Colour Go Painting’ (1992). The following year, he set up a spin art stall with fellow artist Angus Fairhurst at Joshua Compston’s artist led street fair, ‘A Féte Worse than Death’. Made up as clowns by performance artist Leigh Bowery, Fairhurst and Hirst invited visitors to pay £1 to create their own spin paintings to be signed by the pair, (and another £1 to drop their trousers and reveal their painted cocks and bollocks!)
The spin paintings are characterised by the works’ elongated titles, which begin with ‘Beautiful’ and end in ‘painting’, and their bright colours. The series began in earnest in 1994, when Hirst had a spin machine made whilst living in Berlin. A series of his machine-made spin drawings were subsequently exhibited at Bruno Brunnet Contemporary Fine Arts, Berlin, later that year. The exhibition ‘making beautiful drawings: an installation’, invited visitors to the gallery to make their own free drawings on a spin drawing machine made from a drill. The first Berlin-made spin painting exhibited was ‘Beautiful, pop, spinning ice creamy, whirling expanding painting’ (1995), at the Waddington Gallery, London, in 1995." (source: Damien Hirst site)
