"For me, designing means organizing, relating things so that they are self-evident and logical, self-explanatory. Designing is part of my life; it begins with preparing breakfast. Handwork and mental work belong together. Artists have always been important to me as a stimulus; artists have taught me that the process is essential. Trained as a carpenter, it was personal encounters and intensive engagement with artists, especially Jerry Zeniuk, Adrian Schiess, Norbert Prangenberg, the Düsseldorf Academy, and the legacy of Joseph Beuys, that shaped me. Through studying their and other works, curating, exhibiting, and publishing art, my path inevitably led me to designing my own furniture objects." (Ebbers, Klaus)
