About the Item
The “Calyx” rug, part of the Twilight series and designed by artist Leo Rydell, is handcrafted in Nepal using 100% Tibetan wool. This fibre is known for its density, durability and ability to retain colour, qualities that highlight the tonal variations and subtle gradients characteristic of Rydell’s work. The Twilight series explores light effects and atmospheric shifts inspired by the colours of dusk, translated into textile form through traditional hand-weaving techniques.
The production process results in a rug with a solid, tactile surface and a visually layered composition. Designed for contemporary interiors, the piece offers a balance between functional use and artistic expression. It can be placed in living rooms, bedrooms or reception areas where a textile element with visual depth is desired. The rug is in excellent condition and stands as a strong example of contemporary design produced in Nepalese artisanal workshops.
Every item LA Studio offers is checked by our team of 10 craftsmen in our in-house workshop. Special restoration or reupholstery requests can be done. Lighting can be electrified to the required voltage.
