Alexander Nepote
Alexander Nepote was born on November 6, 1913, and raised in the Central Valley of California. Nepote was a painter known for mixed-media abstractions. He became a professor and dean of the faculty at the California College of the Arts and then became Art Professor at California State University, San Francisco. Though he painted farm landscapes early on, he is most well known for his modernist leaning abstract paintings. Nepote died in 1986.
